Michele HORRIGAN
Born in Limerick. Lives and works in Dublin, Germany and Limerick.
Studied at Stadelschule, Frankfurt and the University of Ulster.
Recent exhibitions include The Colour of Surprise (2007), Limerick
City Gallery of Art and RIAA (2007), Buenos Aires. She is curatorial
director of Askeaton Contemporary Arts.

Schools: Meet the Artists

Limerick City Gallery of Art is delighted to offer a full and exciting Programme of Schools’ events for December, including a series of days ‘Meet the Artist’ events and a series of gallery tours. Primary and Secondary Classes are offered gallery tours and artist talks artists Michelle Horigan, Sean Lynch & Deirdre Power together with tours of Seeing Georgian Limerick and Presence.

Michelle Horrigan, born in Limerick, has studied at University of Ulster, Limerick School of Art & Design and at the Stadelschule in Frankfurt. She is curatorial director of Askeaton Contemporary Arts. Recent exhibitions include The Colour of Surprise (2007) Limerick City Gallery of Art,  RIAA (2007) Buenos Aires and is exhibiting in Presence II.

Sean Lynch, born in Kerry, has studied at the Stadelschule in Frankfurt, the University of Limerick and Limerick School of Art and Design. Lynch is currently an artist in residence at IMMA and recently exhibited in 10000 to 50 at IMMA (2008). Lynch had a major solo exhibition in Gallery of Photography, Dublin in September and is exhibition in Seeing Georgian Limerick.

Deirdre A Power, born in Limerick, studied at Limerick School of Art and Design. Previously based in US, now lives in Limerick. Recent exhibitions include ev+a 2006, and solo exhibition New Work, Phatory Gallery, NY, 2006. Power is exhibition in Seeing Georgian Limerick.
