Behind Smoke & Mirrors Studio Discussion

Behind Smoke and Mirrors brings together five exciting artists Aideen Barry, Bernardine Carroll, Garvan Gallagher, Carl Giffney and Emma Wade to set up studios in LCGA and to produce new works in the public domain in response to their experience of Limerick. A central aspect of this open studio is the opportunity for you to experience the artists' studio and processes. The artists presence in the gallery replaces the art object with the art process. We invite you to express your experience and discuss with the artists your understanding and expectations of art presented within public contexts.

Aideen Barry, Garvan Gallagher and Carl Giffney invite you into their studios where they will each give a short talk on their practice and the works currently in development. This is an informal evening where you can meet the artists and give your feedback on the project, while enjoying a glass of wine.
